Getting New Car Battery

I'd inadvertantly left the light on half a day last Wednesday as I was hurrying to pass the 'apam dewa' to Norzie and rushing to DKU to attend the Briefing on Final Examination by TNCAA.

The university guard helped to jumpstart the car.

But less than a week, the car won't start again.

Called the Jeff the mechanic to the house to jumpstart the car again.

But the car won't start again the next morning.

It's time for a new battery!

Switched the battery from waja to persona last night.

Hubby took personal to KL using the battery from waja.

Jeff came about noon today and jump start waja.

I drove it all the way to the battery from factory shop.

Someone told me he got a battery there cheap - RM180 when elsewhere it cost anywhere from RM260 - RM280.

It wasn't cheap for me. (*can someone tell me that I've paid a good price for it)

He said the battery for persona isn't widely available in the market now.

He has only one - imported directly from Germany.

He only charged me for $260 - if I returned the old battery.

He gave me a receipt and told me that the battery has one year warranty - if I show the proof of purchase - the receipt.

The receipt bear my name and my car registration number.

I wrote a note using a pen on the receipt just to remind my self about the warranty.

The warranty is not stated on the receipt.

Now, I have a running car, Alhamdulillah!

I wonder If the car would start after I left it for a few days.

I'll be joining hubby n son for LIMA2013 in Langkawi next week.

Flight tickets TGG-KUL-LGK are booked and paid for.

I plan to taking a day off next Sunday and enjoy it with Jr whatever school holidays left.

It's been three years in a row that Jr left for school holidays with his father and left me behind.

Three years since the degree programme starts its new academic semester in September and Diploma programme begins its academic session in Jun. I am one of the lucky staff member who get to teach both degree and diploma during both semesters - SEM 1 and SEM 2.- Lucky me! (Sarcasm intended!)

So, for this week, I have to finish marking all the papers by Thursday if I want to enjoy the holiday! - Classes on Monday and Wednesday - Meetings everyday - Final examination invigilation on Wednesday - OBE Workshop on Tuesday and Wednesday.

It's quiet at home. Jr has gone last night with his father.

My youngest brother and his family came home for the weekend and left.

My second brother and his family will be arriving tomorrow and leave on Tuesday - (can we go swimming? Pulau Kapas? maybe Sekayu? - but only tomorrow I'll be free)

My youngest brother will come back on Wednesday to fetch my parents to attend a wedding away since I can't possibly go.

My third brother just came home for a 2 weeks break.

and I will lock my self in my room or spend most of my time in the office to finish marking papers!

*I can't wait having to teach only degree programme so I can have some regularity - sem 1- mid sem break- sem1 - inter-semester semester break - sem 2 - mid sem break - sem 2 - semester break (so far, before diploma classes is ending, degree classes begins - about 4 weeks overlap - then final exam - coursework & marking papers + preparing final exam for degree classes - then it's time for degree final exam then Diploma class starts again > No down time - it's been on overdrive for the past 3 years - yet we're suppose to do research + publish at the same time - I only managed to do one group research n translated a few papers and got published 2 papers last year.

My son told me to find a job elsewhere where I can come home early! hehehheeee... he's been complaining that Momma has always come home late!

Good Night!

Sweet Dream Ye al!!

*start thinking of whom I can ask to drive me to the airport!
